A state of the art, voluntary teen smoking cessation program, N-O-T
teaches teens how to manage nicotine withdrawal and prevent relapse
by using a life-skills approach. Facilitator training is available
for anyone interested in becoming a N-O-T facilitator. School
Level: Middle & High School (Grades 8 - 12)
ALTERNATIVE TO SUSPENSION (ATS)
This mandatory program can be offered as an alternative to students
facing suspension for violating the school's tobacco use policy. School
Level: High School (Grades 9 - 12)
N-O-T (Not on Tobacco) and ALTERNATIVE TO SUSPENSION (ATS) are programs of the American Lung Association and offered locally.

programs are offered in two formats:A
6-session program teaches tobacco facts, health, respecting yourself,

skill - building activities. A 2 - session program can be an add
on to an existing prevention program and is designed to meet your

understand the benefits of being tobacco free. School

Each
is a one-hour interactive program that helps children learn to
take an active role in promoting a non-use message about tobacco.
Also explains the hidden dangers of tobacco smoke pollution (secondhand
smoke) on the body. School Level: Elementary
School (Grades 3 - 5)
SMOKE

Each
is a one-hour interactive program helps students learn to take
an active role in promoting a non-use message about tobacco.
